Who We Are

About Sacramento Pallet Co.

We're on a mission to keep pallets out of landfills and give them new life. Learn what drives us.

Our Story

Born From a Simple Idea: Waste Nothing

Sacramento Pallet Co. started over 15 years ago with a simple observation: millions of perfectly good pallets were ending up in landfills every year. We saw an opportunity to change that.

What began as a small operation collecting and reselling used pallets has grown into a full-service pallet recycling and logistics company. Today, we process tens of thousands of pallets annually, giving each one the longest possible life.

Our commitment hasn't changed: every pallet deserves a second chance, and every business deserves access to affordable, eco-friendly pallet solutions.

Over the years, we've built lasting relationships with hundreds of businesses across the Sacramento region — from small local shops to large distribution centers. Our customers trust us because we deliver consistent quality, transparent pricing, and reliable service, every single time.

Testimonials

What Our Customers Say

We let our work speak for itself, but sometimes our customers say it even better. Here's what businesses across Sacramento have to say about working with us.

We switched to Sacramento Pallet Co. two years ago and haven't looked back. Their Grade A recycled pallets hold up just as well as new ones, and we're saving over 30% on our pallet costs. The consistency is what really sets them apart — every shipment meets our specs, every time. For a food distribution operation where hygiene and reliability are non-negotiable, that matters.

Mike R.

Operations Director

Food Distribution

Our manufacturing floor goes through 800+ pallets a week. Sacramento Pallet Co. set us up with a standing order and a dedicated delivery schedule that fits perfectly into our production cycle. Their heat-treated pallets meet all our export requirements, and their fleet is always on time. They've genuinely become an extension of our supply chain.

Linda T.

Supply Chain Manager

Manufacturing

As a regional retail chain, we needed a pallet partner who could handle fluctuating seasonal demand without missing a beat. Sacramento Pallet Co. scales with us — doubling our orders during holiday season and adjusting down in the slow months. Their transparent grading system means our receiving team always knows exactly what's coming off the truck. Highly recommended.

Giving Back

Community Involvement

We believe a strong business should strengthen the community around it. From local partnerships to educational programs, here's how we give back to Sacramento.

Local Partnerships

We partner with local construction companies, landscapers, and community gardens to supply recycled wood chips and mulch at no charge. What would otherwise be waste becomes a resource for beautifying Sacramento neighborhoods.

We also collaborate with regional nonprofits and workforce development organizations to provide job training opportunities for individuals re-entering the workforce. Our facility serves as a hands-on training ground where participants learn practical skills in logistics, equipment operation, and quality control.

Waste Education Programs

We host facility tours for local schools, community colleges, and business groups to demonstrate the pallet recycling process from start to finish. Students and professionals see firsthand how materials can be recovered, repaired, and reused instead of discarded.

Our team also participates in Sacramento's annual Earth Day events and sustainability fairs, where we set up interactive exhibits showing the environmental impact of pallet reuse. We publish free educational content on waste reduction strategies that any business or household can implement.

Sponsorships & Support

Sacramento Pallet Co. proudly sponsors local youth sports teams, community cleanup events, and neighborhood improvement projects throughout the Sacramento metro area. We believe investing in the communities where our employees live and work creates a stronger foundation for everyone.

We also donate pallets and materials to local Habitat for Humanity builds, school workshop programs, and community makerspaces. Our annual holiday donation drive collects food, clothing, and supplies for Sacramento area shelters and families in need. Giving back isn't a side project for us — it's part of who we are.

How We Work

Our End-to-End Process

Every pallet that enters our yard goes through a rigorous multi-step process to ensure quality, safety, and maximum useful life.

01

Collection & Intake

Our fleet picks up used pallets from businesses across the region. Every incoming load is weighed, documented, and staged for inspection. We accept pallets of any size, condition, or type — nothing is turned away.

02

Inspection & Sorting

Experienced sorters evaluate each pallet individually. They check for structural integrity, board damage, nail condition, contamination, and dimensional accuracy. Pallets are separated into repairable, ready-to-sell, and raw material streams.

03

Repair & Refurbishment

Damaged pallets move to our repair line. Technicians replace broken deck boards, cracked stringers, and failed fasteners using pneumatic tools. Every repair brings the pallet back to our strict grading standards.

04

Grading & Quality Control

Repaired and sorted pallets are graded A, B, or C based on cosmetic and structural criteria. A final quality check ensures every pallet leaving our yard meets or exceeds its grade specification.

05

Treatment & Compliance

Pallets destined for export or food-industry use go through our heat treatment kilns. We maintain ISPM 15 certification and stamp every treated pallet with the official IPPC mark for full regulatory compliance.

06

Inventory & Delivery

Finished pallets are organized by size and grade in our inventory yard. When you place an order, pallets are pulled, counted, loaded, and delivered on our own trucks — giving you direct accountability from yard to dock.

Trust & Compliance

Certifications & Industry Standards

We hold the certifications that matter most to our customers and maintain standards that exceed industry norms.

ISPM 15 Certified

Our heat treatment facility meets all International Standards for Phytosanitary Measures. Every treated pallet carries the official IPPC stamp recognized in 180+ countries.

NWPCA Member

As a member of the National Wooden Pallet & Container Association, we follow industry best practices for pallet repair, grading, and recycling.

OSHA Compliant

Our facility meets all Occupational Safety and Health Administration requirements. Regular audits, safety training, and equipment inspections are standard practice.

EPA Guidelines

We follow Environmental Protection Agency guidelines for wood waste management, stormwater runoff, and emissions — exceeding minimum requirements wherever possible.
